1 - “fine” handed over to a Mexican Police officer (paid far too much but we are a lot more confident about how to handle it next time!)
1 - visit to the doctor for Florent’s fish hook in the foot
>50 - novels read; add our bookworm Zoe’s tally to that and it’s over 100
150 - days of homeschooling achieved (and that’s a big achievement folks!!!)⠀⠀⠀ ⠀
1 – 6-yr-old who we’ve taught to read – in two languages no less!!⠀⠀ ⠀
Never - been robbed, overly hassled, had a child kidnapped (although maybe at times we would willingly give one up….), or anything else Americans had us worried about!
Many – new friends made
Countless – Pacific Ocean horizons we’ve watched the sun sink into, evenings spent star gazing, and nights falling asleep to the sound of the gently breaking waves (and occasionally crashing surf)
